ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Meeting was called to order by Tim Glover President, at 7:02 p.m.

Motion to approve Treasurers Report by Louie Krolikowski, Second by Mike Koskey,
passed unanimously.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion to approve minutes by John Driver, second by
Erik Booth, Passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
*Presidents Report: President Tim Glover did a presentation of 2006 in
review. 85 individual and 22 family memberships for a total of 107 members,
a 400% increase from 2002. All three ranges are in the best condition ever
thanks to the leadership of Louie Krolikowski and the outstanding turnout at
the 2006 Spring workbee. Another 5 huge loads of trash and tires were
removed again this year. A special thanks to Steve Paquet, Dave and Sue
Payant and John Driver for leading the charge as the Broadhead Range is
completed! The 3D course has new markers and stakes thanks to Bart
Carroll. The new website is complete, thanks to Travis De Prey’s outstanding
donation of time and expertise.
The Traditional Archers had another great Rendesvous thanks to Steve and
Donna Turay.
Tim then introduced the 2006 Board of Directors and thanked them for a
great year.
*Tournament Report: Chairman Mike Koskey reports that the first UPFAA
Tournament to be held a Deertrack for many years will be held June 23, 24
Special guest, MAA President and new Deertrack member Ken Robie
explained how tournaments work and what the membership should expect
at that special weekend.
*Public Relations Committee: Secretary Mark Hirvonen gave a short
presentation on Deertrack history, and reported on the publicity received
from the Mining Journal, front page as the lead story on Dave Schneider’s
Outdoors page. WLUC TV6 was in attendance at the meeting and
Interviewed President Tim (to be aired in the next week). Members will
be needed to help at the County fair and the Recreation Shows to grow
membership to the next level. The website www.deertrackbowhunters.com
will be upgraded and will soon have links to help the membership. Any one
with ideas, comments, or photo’s should send them to Travis by the link on
the site.
Mark also commented that there are no records prior to 1989, as well as
Deertrack By-laws or any other corporate documents in the files on hand.
If any members have any information on who, or where the club can find
these vital and historical archives please contact Mark at 249-1578 or
hirv5@aol.com as soon as possible.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Proposed By-Laws and Constitution: As listed on the website, a new set of
revised by-laws has been out for review and comment for the past sixty days.
Motion by John Driver and seconded by Tim Glover to accept the revised By-Laws
and Constitution. Unanimously approved by the membership present.
• Election of Officers: A unanimous ballot was cast for the 2006 Board and
approved as follows.

4. Secretary: Sue Payant
5. Range Director: Louie Krolikowski
6. Director: Mike Koskey

A motion was made by Andrew Bek, seconded by Bill Kosa to accept 2007 slate
As listed. A unanimous vote was cast by all members in attendance.
• Dates to Remember:
1. May 5, 2007 Club day, spring clean up and brats. 9 am sharp and bring a
shovel, rake, wheelbarrow, saws, etc.
2. June 23, 24 UPFAA Shoot
3. August 18, 19 Traditional Archers 2007 Rendesvous. Chairmen steve and Donna
Turay gave an update on this family friendly, must not miss event.
• Member Comments: Andrew Bek wanted to thank all of the Deertrack Members and
Board of Directors for a job well done, and asked for a round of applause for
everyone.
MOTION TO ADJOURN: Steve Turay, Second by Larry Lewis, at 8:03 p.m. Carried
Unanimously.
Special Guest Speaker: Jeff Sturgis, Mathews Factory Sponsored Shooter, Outdoor
Writer, Whitetail Habitat Specialist, and Deertack member spoke to the
membership and shared “Shooting Techniques of Professional Archers”, and then
spent time after to answer questions. A great presentation, thank you Jeff!
